Parrots, the Universe, and Everything

I've been a fan of Douglas Adams since I first discovered 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' 30-something years ago. His writing style and sense of humor were unique whether he was exploring science-fiction-comedy or animal conservation.

This lecture was given at the University of California Santa Barbara on April 5, 2001. Douglas Adams died just a few weeks later on May 11, 2001, at the age of 49.

That was long but good. I didn't like the whole "We are destroying the world" cliche at the end. But you become immune to that nonsense after a while.
